Yesterday I tried to type "gotcha" and my phone corrected to to "Goth Chia" which made me think of chia pets in the likeness and image of the Goth Kids on South Park...

Meatsmoke is officially in the mail... Just because they printed a shipping label monday, it didn't hit UPS until the 10th... Also still waiting on the Psilocybe and Going to see Primus Wed... BIG WEEK!

You buy so much gear that as a chiropractor/electrician (double bank) you're still broke!?

I got auto corrected to lolita.com when talking to my girlfriend about what I did that day. All I know is lolita means underage promiscuous girl...

My chiropractic practice is only a couple of years old and I don't run the type of office that bills insurance like crazy. I try to keep my rates affordable to the average uninsured individual and like any other business am building a clientele... So certainly not banking it...yet. Which explains the electrical work (plus it gives me a chance to hang out with my dad). That being said I have been buying gear, planning a wedding (9 weeks away), and have to pay for my portion of the wine we make in the next couple of weeks...
So broker than usual at the moment :D Rapidly approaching holidays don't help either.

-> Not complaining.. Not at all! I'm extremely grateful for my business and lifestyle... but we all have "stuff."

Hey, hanging with dad, getting married and making your own hooch, that's a pretty good year you got going. Congratulations

My parents started making wine like 12 years ago and the group has grown... I think we're collectively making 3 barrels this year. I'm not too clear on what the consensus decided but I should get an even split for the 1/4 barrel I'm getting (roughly 60 bottles). It works out to be about $9 / bottle for what would easily be a $16+ bottle of wine... No preservatives, fairly high alcohol content! Great Wine, and no chances of anything blowing up! Only downside is that it's an investment that takes at least a year to come to fruition.

I think my pics were: Cab/Sangiovase, Cab/Merlot, & I don't remember the third... But different parts of the group did different tastings and then the top choices were selected but we always do red(s)

Idk if it's the tannins or what have you, or the classical conditioning of being forced to go to church every Sunday and drink a sip of crappy wine for a couple years, but I cannot drink red wine. I can't say it's a lack of exposure because my parents keep like 30+ bottles around at all times

I can't drink red wine either, ditched the taste in favour of greater beer appreciation and vodka.

I'd happily share some Chilean traditional recipes for great homemade wine :D

Ha, one time I went to a Presbyterian church for some reason, anyway they did communion and it was the grape juice and a loaf of nice bread. I was so impressed, it was like snack time, versus my Episcopalian styrofoam wafer into red wine in a silver chalice.

Only went like two years, then asked my dad why we went to church since it wasn't real.

He got real mad really quick, but then didn't say a word and we didn't go back ever.
