Stoner/Doom Bassists thread 31: We never sleep

Rickenbacker players:
Niff
mc_muench
Sam
Ampegfuzz

Non Rickenbacker players:
thombo
Darkonar
Sunnburn

I tried a 2011 mid blue about a year ago. My bandmates loved it. Best looking bass ever. It almost sounded as good through my pedal board as my Big Al. In fairness, the board was tweaked to my Big Al.
The deal breaker for me was that g string seemed too close to the edge of the fret board. A couple of times, I slid the string off the side. Bad technique, sure. But I don't have that happen on other basses. I flipped it but would definately try another.

same issue with my 4001 - according to my tech this can be fixed with any replacement bridge, or very careful adjustment of the truss and bridge.

Yep. Probably gonna grab a Crown xti2000 or something for it. Cab will be built to match the style of my 2x15's. I'll probably make a 4x15 at the same time since the boxes should be the same.

what 21 you looking at? i was talking to emperor about making me one but the box would have to be frigging enormous to make it work and i wanted 2. they dont use 21s so i never knew exactly where to look for one.

side note, and not sure its every been mentioned in here, have you seen the rickenbacker cabs that have like 30 inch speakers in them? dude on here has two of them, power handling is garbage for them, but they are enormous.

So started a new project tonight.

My friend who is learning didgeridoo came over and we jammed, it was great, and we decided to keep it going, were calling ourselves tidal.

Here's an Om inspired jam.

I was using the ric through this 15" combo I threw together using an 15 watt practice amp. Recorded with a Rock Band usb mic into Audacity.

Didn't notice the didgeridoo at first, I thougth it was just the bass sustain, and after reading this, magically it actually was there!
