Sounds different but not too different from my regular GS. I`m running out of space on my board for my pedals. I`m not sure if I want to make a new board or just buy one. Plus my And AARDVARKS boost pedal I bought not too long ago just died on me.

After losing out on some sweet one off pedal built by some guy named Ryan :D, I had to find something to fill the void of fuzz. Around the same time I started talking about it, Laz jumps in like he builds them :rolleyes:

We both end up buying one as Prymaxe was running a killer Father's Day promotion. So, now you know.

**and it seems like Laz has got to play with his a little more than I have.

AH! Thanks for the info! I`m thinking about looking into more distortion type effects rather than full blown fuzz,at least for the moment. I really liked how my rat tail sounded with the Aadrvarks! boost driving it.
Anybody have any good distortion pedals to recommend? I love the sound of "Old Skin" that my RT gives me. As an example.

This thing is cool. Sunmachine Effects Fuzz O))) Doom Drone Device. It's a Meathead clone with 3 way switch for Dark, DLX, and Ultra Evil which is everything to 11. Pretty badass. Massive fuzz with endless sustain.


How's the El Oso's? You guys gonna make some clips soon?

Started playing around with the EHX Bassballs tonight. I'm going out of town for a week, but in the quick jam I had time for I was able to find a couple of cool sounds I think I can use. Primarily, I think I'm going to run it in-between my OD and my fuzz. With the dialed to 8ish and the distortion switch off, it gives the heavy fuzz a really wet sound, which is kind of cool. At the very least, it's earned itself a trip to full band practice in a couple of weeks.

My guitarist runs an Orange with the gain through the roof, but otherwise completely effect dry. That leaves me some room to get weird now and again.

Running el Oso or BBM very mild and then the other as a booster/mega fuzz works, only ok. The BBM is going. I know I am going to try and talk myself out of it, but I don't need it. The El Oso is everything that the muff is not. The only thing missing is a tone knob on the Oso. It is a one trick pony. REALLY. But, it does that trick very well. I have found a very, very nice fuzz box here for only 150. (and I only paid 126 shipped). Next Up, I can't stop looking at the EXH bass synth as sort of a if/when I wanting it weird pedal. Jury is still out on this idea. I really don't see myself needing it. Only for my personal amusement. ???

the bow like sweeps the guy gets in the demo are amazing. I know Jack from the Dead Weather and ilk uses one. The cost keeps me away, also the fact, I own an octaver, Qtron and muff, and there isn't much besides those sweeps they can do between them.

Boss has a bass synth pedal, it's greyish silver with red lettering anyone ever use it?

I've owned previously boss syb-3 and syb-5 they are cheap plastic compared to bass microsynth. I've traded mine (old version) for malekko barker assmaster. Loved the assmaster, but microsynth is really good. Not sure if it's useful in riffs, but some drone/noise/ambient parts are really cool with microsynth.
Had some drunk live jam with it few weeks ago, it's in the beginning of the video (microsynth - w&c tall font russian - dunlop 105q together)

Thanks Joe, sounds like it would be good with a pick through a slightly dirty amp. The lack of a tone knob is a bit of a bummer, but if pick one up it'll be an always on distortion. So I could work around it.
