Hahaha Laz beat me to it. But he has practice tonight and I dont!! ::hyper::

(Edit: if I get it, then it may replace my Carvin, so theres a 50/50 chance I'd actually use it, depending on how it sounds. But if I get it and don't like it, then you guys got dibs)

Argh! why does stuff like that never come up here? The sweetest piece of gear I have seen locally was an old 150 watt acoustic and matching 6x10". Can't remember what model the head was but the dude sold the stack for $350. I have never wanted $350 more than then. But, it didn't work out. What ya gonna do, OH YEAH!

Tell me about it. I have to pay a premium on everything especially on TB.

On another note, I don't get what the big deal is about shipping to Canada. How much paperwork is involved? I have to fill in one form with the buyers address, item description and value when I send something across the border. Takes 2 minutes to complete, I usually offer $5-10 over the asking price and people still refuse...

Yeah I dunno. Horror stories of basses being confiscated at the border due to the woods used? I ship pedals all around the world (sent my Iron Ether Oxide to Singapore!) but I'd think twice about a bass or amp.

Someone posted an early 2000's Ric 4003 on our Craigslist one time for $800. Never found out what happened to it, I expected it to pop up again for more but it never did. I think someone actually scored an $800 Ric.

sam....i think what it is is the legal jurisdiction issue. i for one get nervous on international sales.. not so much to canada..because lets say i ship something to a sleaze ball who is trying to pull a fast one, other than paypal if its within the US i may have recourse with th postal service, local PD's, or IC3... if something screwy happens across borders i got nuthin....i once had a guy that i wanted to buy something from in canada who would only take money orders..yeah, i might as well just send cash by carrier pigeon! now on tb im not so reluctant if people have a substantial history.

Now I am really jealous. Old Acousitc heads are my vice. I had one a long time ago when I first started. It was my uncle's old rig from when he played in Free Beer. This is when I was 14 and didn't know anything except that it weighed a lot. Had the stuff set up at the drummers house and left it there. After about 3 months of jamming and playing shows (punk band), his house got robbed and so did my bass rig. After that, I didn't have anything more than a practice amp for a really long time. I used other people's gear and got by, but I wish I had that head still. It meant so much to me because it was my uncle's and he disappeared. Like for realz. I think he is dead, but no one in the family has heard anything from him in 10 years. Can't find anything on him. No credit report or anything. He is officially off the grid.
