hahaha well its a solid piece. harmonic vibrato on clean parts can be downright depressing sounding

Thanks for the tips, esp. Toast. I was going bonkers with the note decay. Maybe not bonkers, but a little ***? I would never have thought to use a fuzz pedal as a boost. I'll experiment with the bassdriver, bluebeard, mig muff pi, and DOD 205 on Saturday and report back next week. The old amps are quirky for sure, but that's what makes them so cool to me.
Which band is Toast's on the flyer? Laz - with whom should no business be done?
Plans for the 18's...
Put one in my 15" sealed combo cab, and make a folded 1x18" cab.
Yeah, that poster is bad-ass. Dude should be freelancing for cover art/flyers/t-shirts, etc.
Mechanized Man = Toast
Earcandy
Monolith
and that first dude that tried to build Laz the Dually before BNA did it right.
I'm unaware if there were others.![]()
A buddy of mine uses 1 18", a sansamp pedal and an old peavey power amp. Sounds ****ing killer. Great band, too. Subatomic. **** it, he won't mind if I post a link.

Fortunately, we have a place that'll let almost anyone play and they give you free food and beer and pay you cash money at the end of the night.
The guy who recorded my old band swore by his mesa 18". That sounds like a great idea for a setup. I feel like I'm slowly turning into a sansamp spokes person but I haven't owned one in years. I'm finally just realizing the usefullness of these little guys.
Geez. I'd book that venue just to roll around on stage naked in a kiddie pool full of mayonnaise and call it "performance art". Still profit more in a night than my metal band did in a year, if what you say is true.
Well he's a professional graphic designer by day for a university. Between work, the band, and his kids, he doesn't have a whole lot of time to work on other stuff
Actually it was BAD (Barry Audio Design) who did my Dually. ampegfuzz is the guy with the BNA Bassic.
Robby Hoinsky at Art of Noise was the guy who Laz'd me the hardest. At least with the other guys I had a somewhat functioning end product.
I'm tired of not playing shows. I'm gonna book my own gorammit.

Nick, my production company is going to need a full Dunwich backline in late February.
DeadByDawn said:I've been using a Fulltone Bassdriver/Big Muff Bass/BlueBeard into a GK. Sustain for days..... I just purchased my holy grail - Acoustic 370 and I want to use the natural tone of the amp, as it is awesome. The notes decay too quickly. I have a Boss Expander/Compressor but it does something to the tone. I don't like it. Maybe I don;t have the settings on it right? Oh, my bass is a Fender Big Block. Any advice/tips for getting my bass to sustain more or setting to try for the baby blue boss?
It's a Mexican bar and the owner loves punk rock. It's not much but free food and $100 for a night of jamming with friends. It's awesome.
You have to bring people who plan to drink.
Is it on the second level of a building next to a big shady alleyway? Sounds like the place AA played at with Billows and The Osedax.
Too many acronyms for this old brain to keep straight. That cab that AoN sent, looked like garbage. I remember you posting pics and being like, oh man... I couldn't help but feel bad for you. Especially with something that you had to wait for like that.
Alright, that's enough bad memories for Laz. How about those awesome reviews of that Supervoid band. Pretty cool, huh? huh?![]()
Yeah, that one got me the worst. Had such high hopes and it was the biggest POS ever haha. Oh well, worked out in the end.
Speaking of reviews, Sludgelord is doing an interview with us. Pretty stoked about that!

Haha no Skip, that is a different place. That place SUCKED.
FoF is talking about Chapala's. Man, that place kicks ass. Mariachi guys playing guitar up front while people dine on Mexican food, stoner metal bands melting faces to people getting drunk as hell in the back.
