Played my first show last night for my solo project. The space I played is a local microbrew that opened in the last year. It used to be a garage and the owner essentially built the place out himself so it has a very raw, minimal thing going on. Because all the beer is brewed on site and those vats take up half of the floor plan, you can't really cram that many people into the bar area. We brought 25-30 friends and there was another group of 5 or so people hanging out and, while no one was crammed in, you prolly could only fit about 15 more people in there comfortably.
The sound of the place was awesome for what I do. I run tons of reverb and the high ceilings and the big metal vats behind gave off all these crazy reflections off of the already crazy amount of reverb coming out of my speakers. I felt like I was playing the room, adjusting a bit of my attack in certain passages to coax out the room reverb. That was a blast. I would love to play more big, weird spaces. I think it went over well. Everyone seemed pretty jazzed up after my set. Gotta work on booking the next one!

I do. I just released my first single on Bandcamp. The plan is to release a song every couple months for the next year or so. You can download it for free if you dig it (just enter $0). if i recall correctly they used to ship with a clear pickguard too, the main reason i'm buying this is because my rat tail sounds really biting with jazz basses
Love the finish, same finish I attempted when I refinished my Fury but ruined it when I did the clear coat...twice.
