Excellent. Glad you enjoy some of the picks. I'm always on the look out for more doom. I'm going to attempt to record something of my own in the next couple months...just me doing bass/drums/vox. I'm a little stuck as to how I'm going to record, though. I'm a total n00b at this.

They've been mentioned A LOT. They are indeed a great band. I didn't listen to them for a long time as well, just because I thought their name sounded generic. I'm over that now.

theyre pretty worthless IMO. this is coming from a low end man like myself, but theyre so muddy its almost unusable. especially in lower tunings. we're in A and G and theres no way id get any sort of clarity in those tunings with a bass like that.

and the gibson EB series which have those mudbuckers are all short scale, which is a no-no for me (although there are a few L versions which are long scale, but theyre tough to find).

You should pay more attention to my posts :ninja:

The radio show, vibrations of doom .com (I think) goes into all kinds of stuff. From thrashy NWOBHM stuff to current day Death Doom, and all in bewtween. I ahve been finding out about great bands both past and present by listening to the 2 hour radio show. They only keep the casts for the latest three shows.

Scratch that off the list...

Even though we tune in Eb I like a good amount of attack and bite in my tone
