STP - Robert Deleo

Discussion in 'Bassists [BG]' started by mike lead, Nov 28, 2003.

  1. I love that guy, and i think that he is one of the most underrated bassist of the story of bass. Ok, he might not be flashy, but he has great taste. I love flashy bass players, but also enjoy listening to Sting, McCartney, Robert, etc...
"Atlanta" bass line is one of my personal favorites, also "Trippin on a hole in a paper cut"..

What do you think about him?

The first three STP albums are some of the best rock albums of the 90s. Robert playing is awesome, its not super difficult but if anything it fits and drives the songs better than nearly anyone, kinda like Neil Peart does on drums with Rush, thats what Robert does (did?) for STP on bass.
