I've got a nice padded black leather strap & a dimarzio "cheap" leather paisley strap.
I prefer the Dimarzio even though it's not padded and the straps are the same width.

Don't spend more on a strap than you have to.
And i don't mean to offend, but IMO a sunburst P is pretty, but nothing special.
If you'd dropped 4K+ on a coffee table bass, then i'd understand wanting a fancy strap.
But you bought a really nice example of the most common colour scheme and wood combination of the most popular bass of all time.
It deserves a nice strap, but not that nice. ;)
Again, IMO.

(I apologize for sounding cranky. Must be bedtime. Sorry.)

I've got this Walker & Williams strap. It's good quality for the price, but I'm still looking for something with just a little more style.

I can't believe folks that don't blink an eye at dropping >$2K on a bass are balking at a measly $100 strap. Those are beautiful straps and your bass is definitely worth it. Straps are an awesome way to personalize an instrument.

I voted for the gold because I think that it will provide an awesome and complementary look to that bass.

When it comes to straps, i'm with Henry Ford, "Give 'em anything they want, as long as it's black."

I've always favored the basic old nylon straps with plain leather tabs on the ends. I believe they are being called seatbelt straps these days. Music stores used to give them away with their shop logo/info embossed on the front tab. About the only exception was a red strap wifey gave me to match the red Highway One J bass she gave me. It's a Joe Satriani skull strap and it looks good with the red bass. Other than that it's che-pass black nylon with the occasional lapel or hat pin stuck on it up front.

Reunion Blues straps, as far as I'm concerned, are the best. Very comfortable, reasonably priced ($35), and the ones I have are not showing any wear and I had them a while.

OTOH - After looking at your bass, your strap choices, and seeing how much you're willing to spend on a strap, go with the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
It matches your bass.

I swear by these!! No one cares about straps. Think about it. Do you ever notice them??

I don't care what others care or don't care about in regards what you are getting at. I care about having a nice comfortable strap but do want the opinions from others which they think is nicer. Plus, if I am willing to pay what I paid for this bass, then paying $100 to $200 won't be that big of a deal.

On a side note, I Google that Moody straps and now I am looking at those but the Durango still has a leg up.

Hmmm... If you don't care about what others care about, asking their opinions is kind of odd.... You gave three choices and I gave my choice (number three) of what I think is nicer, with an explanation. Maybe you should have just given two choices. My suggestion IS a nice, comfortable strap.

I figured that wasn't going to come out right. I am not going to further explain it. Re-read it or move past it but your interpretation isn't what I was trying to say. Do what you will with that.
