Wasn't sure if I should post this here in Basses or Misc (will let the mods correct it if needed).

Anyway here are two straps I really like but not sure if they would look good with my new guitar. I want outside opinions and if you think you know something better with the guitar below, please share it.

Black. The gold looks great, on its own, but with your bass it'd be too much like the color tones in the burst and possibly neck but if not really matching then it's a visual mess. Even if matching well, it might be too much.

Black on the other hand makes for a nice extension of the black on the edges of the bass where the strap is connected, and the bit of color in the black strap would make for a nice hint of matching.

Asking bassists for fashion advice is only one small step above asking drummers. Sadly.

+1 to all of this post.
Great looking bass, by the way.
Enjoy.

Any strap that is affordable, looks nice, and does the job is fine. Don't spend too much time worrying about it. Spend time practicing - every day. Every day. And stay off of TB as much as possible or you will get infected with GAS and then it's hopeless; straps, pedals, shoes, hair gels, babes, vans, flats or rounds, . . . . . blah blah blah. Just practice. A lot. All this other stuff will take care of itself. Oh, be sure to practice every day!

You could get two Italia straps for that price. Worth looking at.

If I had to choose, the gold.

Can't really go wrong with dark straps.

Backing of suede or smooth is a good question. People like both. Some like an easy, smooth slip, others like grip.

How much does your bass weigh? Anything approaching 9 lb or more, I use a 4" strap.

Nice looking PJ, by the way!
