Strinberg owners? Am I the only one?

Since it looks like they're from South America, there may be fewer people with access to them. And I suspect there would be some legal problems with getting them in certain countries:

I own a 6 string strinberg myself. I bought it 6 months ago an I like it a lot. It's not expensive, but it sounds great, and it's an exremely well crafted instrument. One could think it is around $1000 US, but it's half this price.

It is a little bit heavy, but it compensates with great sound. They are made in China by the way, but they are designed in the US. Where I bought here in Colombia, I've seen a great variety of models, raging from Stingray style, to designs of their own, in both guitars and basses, which is actually cool.

Interesting, it's been hard to find information on them, there's not even much of the website, and I can't see the different models you mention either. It's odd to know they're designed in USA cause it seems only Latin people have them (you included). I agree though, very cheap yet well built.

My CLB-15A.
Im pleased so far. I have It since October 2010. Gave me some problems In the wiring and sent It back to the store. Luckily It had 1 year guarantee. Now It's back with me.
It cost me around 260USD.
Pretty good for being my first 5 stringer. Obviously Im already thinking of my next bass but...
I like the body shape and neck Is comfortable and Im really Into the headstock shape.
I would like some more definition and strength In the pickups but maybe that Peavey Microbass I run It through Isn't that much of a monster hehe.
Has anyone thought of changing stock pickups for something EMG's or Barts or Seymour Duncans?
It would be awesome listening to the capabilities of Strinberg In live performances and studio albums.

I'm just checking the website, I had no idea about it, but I have checked several tiomes the one that is only about their musical isntruments, but no updates or anything, sems to be still under construction. They do seem to be from Brazil after all, they even build cavaquinhos, which are small four stringed guitars original from Portugal and then brought to South America. My bass is very similar to yours, but mine is transparent red, with six strings, it's a CLB 26A. Can't complain about it so far... I brought it to Mexico where I currently live, and no one obviuosly knows this brand, but it creates quite an impact, both visually and sound wise. It looks way better when you have it right in front of you than it does in any picture.

I am on my third strinberg bass.
I was living in Miami and had to buy a CLB-35A.
it had electrical problems, so it went back to the dealer. He swapped it at the distributor for a second 35A. This on still had the tags on it when it was stolen.
before I left the area I found a CLB-34A (4 string vs 5) and truly enjoy the instrument.

I actually represent a store that carries that line of bass right now. They are very nice and not just for the price..they are just nice. You could spend a lot of money on a bass and not be as nice quality or sound as these. I am posting a picture and none of the basses on this picture costs over $300. For more info contact me.
They come in 4, 5, and 6 string models. I'm getting a 5 string for myself. You can listen to how one sounds in this video

Long shot with a ten-post thread spanning eight years, but can anybody with a Strinberg 5 comment on the @ bridge string spacing? I'm mostly looking at the CLB-45A, but I guess I also have no idea if the bridge / spacing is consistent between models. I'm a "can't handle any smaller than 17.5mm" kinda guy and life is hard.

Well, I just ordered a Strinberg out of a shop in Miami. My husband plays drums and his band has an awesome lead guitarist, but they can't hang on to a bassist to save their lives. No one in our area can. So, I have been threatening to pick up the bass even if it's just too hold the bass line while the guys practice. I started looking at basses on line and I read this post for a Strinberg in Florida. The said it was used in store, picture wouldn't load up so I don't know what it looks like and they didn't have a model listed. I called the store and talked to 'the guitar guy' who was charming with a NorthEastern upstate kind of accent. He said it looked new, was black and had 'double cut-outs" It's got a full refund return policy and a 24 month repair or replace warranty even if I park a truck on it. Still, I don't know what made me think I should drop $150 for a bass I've never even seen and on a brand I know nothing about. :) I didn't think I was that impulsive! Anyway,I hope I like mine as much as Y'all like yours.
