String choices...

It's been forever since I played. I remember always using Rotosounds. But I know there are other choices out there. Can someone explain the differences between Round,Flat etc...I it depending on use or bass?

You'll find tons of information on differences, preferences, etc. on TB, but it really boils down as to what you're gonna be playing. I used rounds exclusively for over 20 years before trying out flats. I loved the feel of flats and the fact I could get the action much lower with no buzz. But they are much mellower than the boomers I've played and loved for years. For practice, they were great but when I was jamming with the guys - power rock trio - just didnt cut it. So fresh med-light boomers back on and I'm where I need to be!
