String ID, please?

Anyone know what these might be? Round core, silver ball ends, gnarly tuning-key ends. I belIeve they came on a long-gone Jack Casady, so is there any chance they could be Curt Mangans? Thanks.

Pics of the strings both at the tuner end and at the ball end would be helpful. There may be some subtle visual cues to ID the brand. Thanks.

Yes, I see it now. Are they supposed to be stainless steel flatwound? Or rounds? Hard to tell in the pic...

Definitely round wounds, and if I had to guess, I'd guess stainless steel as opposed to nickel.

Are you sure they are round core? The "gnarly tuning-key ends" remind me of Warwick strings, but someone could have removed the silks if there were any.

How many wraps over the core wires? I want to say DR Hellborg but they're a single wrap over the core.

GHS Bassics? Older Warwick strings looked like that as well... that's all I got!

GHS Bassics don't look like the ones in the OP's pic at the tuner end. And their ball ends are brass.

This is the only part I don't get... Everything I've read so far tells me Warwick bass strings are hex core.

They look a lot like Dean Markley Blue Steels, but those are hex core (I think) and now have alternating black and blue ball ends, at least for the past few years.
