String Recomendations

Just got an Ibanez AGB140 Semi-Hollow Bass. Came well set up appears to have new strings. I wanted a single pickup, dark body color, body binding and binding in the "F" holes for a rockabilly look. Well- balanced, I do not notice any neck-dive, not too heavy. Ne "Fender" dead spot. I do notice that the tuning keys and first few frets are way out there compared to my Jazz, no problem. The sound is quite more bright than I like, maybe the strings will mellow out. I play thru an Acoustic 650C, 65 W, 12" speaker; gigging amp is a Fender Rumble 200 w/15" speaker.. If I turn all tone controls to bass I get pretty much the sound I want. On my Jazz bass I use Fender flatwounds, on my Daisy Rock (Schecter designed) I use Fender tapewounds - I like both and intend to go to flatwounds on the Iby. I play rockabilly and in a traditional gospel group. Not interested in pedals, but may experiment with a compressor. So, anyway, anyone have experience with a semi-hollow and what strings do you like?
