Strings fo ADADG tuning

I just got an Ibanez srms725. (35.5" / 34" multiscale). I play mostly metal and I would like to use ADADG tuning.

In that tuning, with standard strings, the lowest string feels a bit too loose and maybe the second string could be a bit stiffer.

The bass came with Daddario EXL170-5SL strings (.045/.065/.080/.100/.130). I already bought a Daddario xlb135 long scale string for it, but it seems too short and the thick part ends a little before the nut. What strings would you recommend for that bass in that tuning?

1) Did you purchase a D'Addario extra-long scale 135, or simply a long scale string? It appears from the OP post that only a regular long scale string was purchased, which will be too short on the scale of OP's bass. That is why the B, er, low A string is too short. The "SL" in the model number of the stock set indicates super-long or extra-long.
2) For the E, er, low D string, go up to a 110 to keep a similar tension as the rest of the strings in the set. And measure to make sure a regular long scale string will fit. To that end, let us all repeat the mantra, slightly modified to account for fan-fretting, multi-scale, whatever you want to call it:

1) Measure from the ball anchor to the tuner side of the nut of the string in question.
2) Measure from the ball anchor to the middle of the tuner post of the string in question.
3) Purchase a string that the speaking/winding length is between these two measurements.

I have a fanned-fret PJ bass, and this is the way to find proper strings for it.

The problem is D'A doesn't appear to offer .135 in super long scale. I checked into a couple of places and it goes from .130 to .145 with nothing in between. Kind of weird...

I didn't know that. Well, well, well. I haven't researched the market. Do you know off the top of your head if there are any similar strings that might suffice? Depending on the OP's measurements, on a first glance, Ernie Ball has a 135 NPS that has a 37.25 inch winding length. Since the OP said a D'A XL135, which may have a little less than a 37 inch winding length, is only slightly short, might that work?

Or, SIT "long scale" is 37.5" in winding length. And they do have the Power Wound Nickel .135 available as a single.

I did some measurements and it looks like I need the lowest string with a winding length of at least 37.4 inches. Really hard to find the right one that would also be .135. I should have just gotten a bass with a normal scale and life would be easier:)

Why has it gotta be 135? D'addario do a 145 super long scale single XL round in regular and tapered. Only 4 or so more lbf of tension than the hypothetical 135. Around 6lbf more than the stock 130

I've never played with such thick strings, but maybe I could give it a try.
