Looking for string gauge for standard C tuning. My one string sounds very flat, or almost half muted when played with fuzz. Sounds dampened almost. Hard to explain. My guess is string gauge at this point. Suggestions?
C standard calls for about a .130 for the E string. I tune to C# and use a set of .124 Circle Ks. Link Removed
Aim for between 35-45 pounds of tension.
played in a band once that used C standard. I used Dr high beams. can't remember all the gauges but it was a 5 string set with a .120 or .125 low b tuned up a half step.
