Strings for C tuning

Looking for string gauge for standard C tuning. My one string sounds very flat, or almost half muted when played with fuzz. Sounds dampened almost. Hard to explain. My guess is string gauge at this point. Suggestions?

Try DR DDT strings in heavy gauge.

C standard calls for about a .130 for the E string. I tune to C# and use a set of .124 Circle Ks.

Aim for between 35-45 pounds of tension.

I use a .125 for the low C.

I will take a look at the Circle Strings. Never heard of those.

played in a band once that used C standard. I used Dr high beams. can't remember all the gauges but it was a 5 string set with a .120 or .125 low b tuned up a half step.
