I switched out some strings today (belcantos for evahs) and the strings felt tight and the sound "choked". So I switched the strings back and maybe a little better but not like before I did the 1st switch. Put the bass down for a few hours, came back and it was it's old self again.
Question is, am I nuts or do strings sometimes need to settle on the bass? Switching out strings on another bass, I didn't experience this.
