Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone knows where i can find some material on zender's slap technique or if another player has very similar slap technique i can learn from. I started off with Wooten style. i wouldn't say that i mastered it, but i am fairly proficient with it and satisfied with how far i have progressed.
My slap technique has kinda mutated differently from any others i have seen, and my bass teacher said it was interesting but not wrong. i keep my pinky planted on the body. i don't know why, i think it stabilizes my hand.
i am unable to slap play at all if i dont have my pinky planted. not sure if my arms too weak or what the problem is, but i am unable to slap with any technique unless my pinky is planted on the body. will this hinder me from learning other techniques?
