Studio 615 gets renovated for 2011!!!

awesome, you are making me want to redo my studio/rehearsal room.

Unfortunatley its a L shaped room and its really not good for either a jam room or a studio.

very cramped with all the gear in it.

I will try and get some pics up in a spearate thread sometime soon.

So now that we have done up the room, we have done a couple recordings, and have decided to add some $$$$ to the gear budget.

While using the 2025 into an older single U rack pre was good, we wanted to step up the game.

Right now, we are looking to purchase the following gear:

Neumann TLM 102 Limited Edition with Elastic shock mount
Universal Audio Solo 610 preamp.

We are running these with the Motu into Logic, which so far has been incredible. I'll try and edit together something we are working on to give you a taste.

Here is a snippet of our latest song. Mixing is far from done, as are the vocals. We just wanted to record dry, and set some levels for things.

Nothing was done to the bass, guitars, drums, synth or vocals except minor mixing and compression to the needed parts (snare, bass, bass drum) and minor spatial separation on the synth.

Vocals will be redone once the Neumann shows up, and the UA 610.

Thanks man. Our recordings are taking off because of this. Not three weeks after total renovation, we got a demo for a local cover act done, and more knocking on the door to do more...

Not to mention, from the snippet posted above, you can see we have reached another level ourselves.
