Ya, mids on 10, treble and bass somewhere down around 1 and 2. Fender tone stack is mid cut only and bass and treble boost only so that's where your flatter settings take place.
.....aaaaand here's my studio today, after a pipe burst upstairs overnight. Floors, walls, ceilings, and tons of gear (outboard, instruments, synths), got various degrees of soaking.
Devastated.
Having to quickly relocate to continue the Neon Trees record. Couldn't be worse timing.
What a terrible way to start the new year. Anyway, exhausted...more of the same tomorrow. Contractors, mold consultants, insurance companies, etc.

DAMN! I am really sorry to hear about the burst pipe. I've been through one such episode at my home about 4 years ago and it was awful. I hope you caught it early and the damage is minimal.
Wow, sucks, man. Sorry to hear that. Don't let those mold bastards rip you off with scare tactics. Get 3 or 4 quotes if you can.

Damn, those pictures almost had me in tears. 
Gave me a flashback to when the building we had our studio in caught fire two years ago and the water used by the firedepartment soaked most of our gear.
Hope you have an good insurance company.
On the bright side, maybe you'll get to swap out your mixer now?

been through that. sucks. i we lived on the same coast i'd help you out in anyway possible... gear, mics, etc.
i'm sure it'll all work out, but nothing sucks like that in the present.
seeing those photos hits deep for me... i'll be hoping for a fast and easy resolution to the situation

Directly from Fender customer service :
"Thanks for writing in. The passive tone stack is an "interactive tone circuit". When you adjust different knobs, it changes the frequency ranges of other knobs. This interaction is part of the recipe that makes it sound great. The "flat" setting is 3 for the bass and treble and 12 for the mid (3-12-3). I hope this will help you out.

Hi everybody. Update:
My studio is in the process of complete demolition. Down to the studs. Water was everywhere.
It's far worse than I anticipated. That also means that it could be months before I'm back up there.
My gear is sitting in a high-security storage pod on site with a dehumidifier inside. We're probably about to start a long process of gradually assessing each item to see what works, what's dead, and what's repairable. All of that in concert with the potentially difficult involvement of the insurance companies.
That's the bad news. The good news: my instinct says that only a modicum of the gear was damaged. When we initially removed pieces from the racks, there was water in and around everything, but we took it all apart, opened everything up, and dried them out. So perhaps we could be ok with many of them.
The console: probably toast. We shall see.
Anyway, it's kind of a living nightmare...but I am hopeful that things will level out soon. Meanwhile, I'm working at remote locations and probably will be doing that for a while.
