So, Ampeg only had a booth inside the Mackie room. You walk into the booth and the solid state porta flex stuff was along the left sid and the tube amps (B15n, SVT and V4b, of multiple varieties, Heritage, classic and VR) were on the right wall. I didn't notice any guitar amps.
Then I opened up the Ampeg 2015 catalog on the train ride back to LA. Now this catalog made no mention of it being the bass amp catalog, or just a section of the larger Ampeg line. Anyone picking up this catalog would believe this was their full line. And there were NO guitar amps, no little tube amp reissues, no modern amps, nothing. Every item in that catalog was either a bass amp combo, a bass amp head or a bass amp cabinet.
Has there been a business decision that I just wasn't aware of....or do they need better copywriters?
