Stupid Leader Tricks

Stay tuned. An unbelievable SL trick is in the process of happening. Its 6AM, I have a morning and evening performance of "Grease ( condensed to 35 minutes no less) to do on piano in school and Parent Teacher conferences in the afternoon AND I'm still laughing at the potential outcome.

So it goes down like this
I have Sunday Feb 19th in my book as a confirmed date with SL. He caqlls and voluntarily gives me some additional dates including Feb 18th with another subleader. Thursday night he emails that there had been a mistake and the contract for the Sunday job is for the wrong day and the real day is Saturday, sorry blah blah blah. First off the regular subleader is pissied as am I because now there's 2 jobs on the same night meaning we lost at least one gig. The sound man who is used to dropping up to 5 sound systems a night is cut out of this gig as well. Because I worked at least once, it turned out not so bad for me but there was the potential of people not being open and that creates problems. Not for nothing but 2 guys from the band want to drive over in the evening to make sure that theres not a gig going on. Not that SL can't be trusted.

Screwed me for a gig this weekend. Called last week and gave me the gig. Put it in the book. Calls this week to confirm Sat. afternoon but says there is nothing in the office on Sunday.
