subway

I was gonna say they must've changed their bread recipe.
In the '80s it was good. then in the late '90s it started tasting really bland.

Don't eat there anymore, but I used to like the straight roast beef on honey wheat w/ a little lettuce, olives, onion, peppericini, a stripe of SW sauce + a stripe of ranch.
Also the Pastrami w/ onions and olives, pepper.

I like Quizno's more.

+1 on the Quiznos. Subway started toasting their sandwiches because Quiznos was eating their lunch!

I think sub way tastes like ***. They don't put enough meat on the subs for the money. Any hot sandwich (cheese steak, meatball sub) is just super processed microwaved BS. Local delis are so much better and usually cheaper.

It's "so healthy" because they don't give you any meat, just a freaking loaf of bread with like 3 slices of turkey on it.

The only redeeming quality is they have a large selection of toppings, like hot peppers and some decent sauces.

If I wind up at subway for some reason I get a crappy turkey sub and then just have them pile hot peppers on it.

Also try Quizinos they have better subs with more meat (although they charge more) and they also have like soups and non soda beverages. Also Pannera bread is really good, really awesome sandwiches and soups and salads and breakfast and pasteries and coffee. (but I tend to hate the type of people that eat there)

heres one that I get: Tuna on Italian bread no cheese and not toasted with lettuce tomatoe onion green peppers cucumber and a liitle oil and some mayo...very refreshing tasting.

IF you get a Jimmy Johns go there instead of any other fast food-esque subs as they are deli quality with fast food price. They blow Quiznos out of the water for an untoasted sub (they don't toast subs). http://www.jimmyjohns.com/ Those pictures they show of their sandwiches, they look very similar as the ones you get when you order one, not like Subway where they look much bigger in the pictures than in the hand.

From them I prefer the Vito® Genoa salami, capicola, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onions & vinaigrette.

Subway is horrible. If you've an option go to an independent sandwich making establishment and enjoy their fare. In all honesty I'd rather eat a McDonalds than a Subway.

I agree, except for the McDonalds part. In fact, I hate any of the chain sub stores. Awful stuff. Good local places are usually around and make much better sandwiches for your money!

I got my sub for free yesterday cause the girl started making it and just before she asks me if I want to make it a meal I tell her no and she tells me there credit card machine is down and I didnt have cash on me so she gave it to me for free which I thought was nice.

Lucky for you, around here local deli's are downtown and I live on the opposite side of town, and even then they are more costly than fast food. That is why I prefer Jimmy Johns, cheap $4.80 for an 8" sub and good quality too.

Nice!

There are definitely better local sandwich shops and deli's around here. My personal favorite is Grab & Go Subs. They aren't always available though, and Subway is ubiquitous, so they get more of my business.
