Hi,
My name is Jeff, This coming fall i'm going to be a senior Music Ed. Major at the Crane School of Music, in NY. At the end of the semester I will be performing a 10 minute recital and i was wondering if anyone could offer some suggestions for pieces. So far i've decided on Valse Mineature by Koussevitsky and i need probably one more piece.
I'm looking for something a little out of the your everyday standard reperitorie. I was hoping for something eastern euopean/folk influenced, spanish influenced, or something jazzy.
An idea of where i am at ability wise, I've played the 1st movements of the capuzzi and dragonetti concerti. Vocalise, Chanason Triste, Armond russel - Chacon. I've played all of those in the past and with a little work to remember things i can play them decently again.
I've browsed over lemur things, however they generally have terrible or no descriptions (anyone know any other sites that have descriptions, or samples?).
Any suggetions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff
