Sorry for the absence! IRL stuff kept me away from the computer.

Nice! IMO three screws are sufficient for tailpiece attachment and allow easier access for installing strings. Shown screws are #8 x 35 mm, basically short neck mounting screws.

Yeah, I think you're right, 5 screws is too much, looks cluttered. I'm thinking 4, as in one per string pair. The bridge I drew has the screws on the lower plate only, so no thread is visible. It seems your stop bar is made from bent sheet metal so I get why is better to have the screws holding both sides of the piece. If I get to make the piece from a solid brass block I don't think I'll have much risk of deformation.

Is there something specific you are trying to achieve that prevents you from using the Sung Il bridge?

Even with shipping from China, it's a fairly affordable option.

Yeah, I have in the past ordered parts from China (aliexpress mostly), but with the recent regulations in my country importing stuff has become even more of a hurdle. Plus, if I get to import something, I prefer to get some good quality pickups rather than the bridge.
