Pretty good idea…
but not it.
Since my health issues don't allow scratch building, I need to keep it to an assembly build with simple mods. And since all my money is going to survival and medical bills, I'll be using all parts that I already have here.
Hopefully it'll be a cool bass though

Well that's what threw me off. The bird picture was a rooster, not a chicken.

Getting so close! I spent this last weekend milling lumber. This project is using some decorative veneers. Hand flattening them is quite a pain, so I'm glad I got an early start on the steps that still count as dimensioning lumber. I really need a thickness sander but don't have room for another power tool. I'm almost done and should be ready to start as soon as it's time. I still need to order pickups, but they should be here by the time I need them.

I will be sitting this one out, unless progress of a 1978 Peavey Mark 3 and 1995 Trace Elliott SM7 amp repairs count. Probably not...

i may still do a combo of a p in the neck and a tbird bridge pickup instead of two bird pickups…. I dunno …. Easier to do given my condition. Less routing, I wouldn't need to make a custom Pickguard , etc…
I just made the final decision on the preamp for my build #2 (yes, starting with 2 builds)

Just sifted through the "order shipped..." e-mails. My pile-o-parts photos will be just wood and the few parts I have for one build -- all the parts that have shipped come between the 20th and 22nd, and a few orders haven't shipped.
