Actually, I decided that I'm going to go to Aspen this summer instead of Yellow Barn. I'm pumped for it!

Cosmos- have you heard from Aspen already? How are they with scholarship money?

I haven't heard from them directly. I found out from one of the bass teachers today whose studio I applied for. I don't know about scholarships yet; evidently, they're sending out all that info soon.

Very cool! Do you know which bassists you'll work with? I can't think of an orchestra with more great young bassists.

Hey thanks! I think Jeff Weisner is running the bass section this year, but I'm not sure. They haven't told us quite yet. The orchestra's really small though (only 55), so I wonder how many basses they accepted...

Really? For some reason, I was under the impression that Jeff Turner and Peter Lloyd are doing a program at IU this summer... I've definitely heard about a bass program at IU in the past.

peter is definately doing something at indiana this summer...as far as i know it is kind of through the school. you need to register for it and current students get first chance.

Turns out I'll also be in Switzerland this summer doing the Zermatt Academy with some Berlin Philharmonic people and other students!! Should be a fun time.

Does anyone happen to know someone I can borrow a bass from in Zurich?
