  1. Does anyone know where I could find a transcription of "Sunshower." It's not in any of the "Real" books, legal or not.

Kenny Barron wrote one called "Sunshower", as did Dave Valentin, I think. Dunno about getting transcriptions, though. I'll look through my stuff, I have way too much old sheet music!
  4. I think it's Kenny Barron, because he is the pianist on Ron Carter's "Piccolo" (great cd) where I know the song from.
  5. I found one in a black market fake book. Credited to Sonny Greenwich. It's a waltz. The one I'm familiar with is a latinish thing in A minor, I'm told by Kenny Barron, written for and originally recorded by Sonny Fortune. Is this the one you're asking about?
  6. Most compositions are registered with ASCAP or BMI as a means of protecting and collecting royalties. You can search those sights for publisher name and address.
Sunshower is recorded on The Red Barron Duo on Storyville STCD 4137. I'll leave it to you to guess who 'Red Barron' is (are).
