Super Ambitious 3D Printed Bass Project. No 3D printing experience..:p

I recently saw a video of some folks that had a full band from printed instruments, drums included. The guitars had moving parts in the core like spinning wheels and such. You should do something cool like that. One idea is to incorporate a beer dispenser. You could hook it up to a keg and dispense beer as you play something crazy like that instead of putting all kinds of holes in it. 3d printed guitars have been done many times at this point and they're all nearly the same. Do something that adds function, not just aesthetics.

I agree. I'm not sure what rates are like in India, but you are saving them from hiring an entire team to work on this project, so they only have to pay one person - you.

It would be nice to know what price per hour sounds right to you guys. In any case, the price/hour in my country would be lesser, but at least i will have some sort of benchmark.

For specialized professional consultation work, hourly rates start at between $50 to $100 an hour.

Oh, and, yes, 3d printed flutes are totally possible. I've 3d printed a whistle. Think recorder- all made of plastic.

I agree with Ivan - as you say, the initial goal is promotional and so your goal weighs on that side of the equation. And as you also say, it most likely will sound good, or at least it will sound 'like a guitar'. (which will be good enough) You are are skilled architect/designer and as you've brilliantly displayed - a builder of a beautifully crafted instrument (your bass build which I totally remembered being blown away by). So after this promotional project (and best of luck securing it etc) It would seem advantageous to then link with a skilled and seasoned luthier and collaborate on creating amazing technologically advanced, really amazing sounding instruments. I say this because a seasoned luthier will have the 6h sense of hearing specific quality of sound, along with carry-over guitar building skills that such a focus would require. You'd do your design innovation part 100%, and they would do their luthier thing equally as well to result in something potentially great. Just a thought as sometimes two minds working together can create something neither on their own could. Again - best of luck!
