super bright mix up (never mind/problem solved)

(found out what really happened, i just trolled my own self some how.. turns out i really did have both kinds of sets and not enough sleep)

anyone get a set of strings which says nickel on box but has steels inside? i have 4 of these and am wondering if i can get what i really ordered for (nickel) since i placed this order in december last year but am only opening them now (i had used one or two set and do not remember looking carefully) and have two or three more sets unopened!

if you zoom in you will see the box says nickel and the individual string paper packaging says steel. very intriguing stuff.

edit sorry i think the image is too compressed to read. ok no pics until i open another box, maybe i will do a video and open a box just to get this on record lol but anyone else faced this? the picture here is from either from september 2014 or march 2015, if you can get on to my instagram you will see the dates!

The box looks like it says steel.

If you ordered nickel contact the seller they should correct.

Where did you get them? I had a similar situation with Amazon (before discovering BSO) where I ordered what I thought to be Nickels but got Steels, due to a badly written page on Amazon. They corrected it, BTW.

I am driving right now but when I zoon in on the package it looks like it says steel.

By the way the lock has changed their packaging so it is clearer.

Don't the packages with the orange label have steels inside? The 'steel' alongside Super Bright is really small.
And the nickels have a blue label.
I mistakenly ordered (I thought nickels) but due to the fine print ended up with s/s. Not what I wanted, but it was only one package, so even tho they didn't sound like what I was wanting I kept them anyway and found something they sound good on. Will probably sell it next, tho.
The nickels sound really good on whatever I've strung them on, even when nothing else did.

Need a clearer picture of your box, but you say it says nickel? Steels look/looked almost identical.

I ordered them from musicians friend in December 2014!! Shipped to a friend in philly who was going to fly home to new Delhi

I still have three sets left I think. One of the orders was for 4 sets the other one I don't remember and cant find at the moment. I have gone through three sets already and might have given out a couple here locally

Thanks. I called Musician's friend phone support the guy behind the call didn't get me so I've sent an email now. He said it has been over 30 days LOL and I get it. I wouldn't have noticed ever but my friend made find out if am using steels or nickels And now am freaked.
And I understand the guy at the MF support if someone calls me and says the nickel packet has steels inside about an order made 10 months back I wouldn't know what to do about it. But that said.. MF didn't pack them!

Also I had ordered these Just when they came out. Jim Dunlop made a booboo?

Am going to look for my old super bright set that I took off the bass, slim chance I will find it now and ship that to whoever needs proof LOL
Am just amazed I didn't notice that my packets said nickel
I always thought the order was for steels because there was 3 week gap between me placing the order and getting them I guess I forgot and since I normally use steels I didn't think about it twice and ignored the box too? Strange strange!! Almost feel I like I woke up into another world or something where someone changed the past!
I did wake up at 5am and then look through the strings and invoices then went back to bed for another 3 hours

I never heard of this being an issue and I've sold hundreds of these. If it ever was an issue it was not wide spread.

I'll exchange your sets of you would like. But the open set on the op looks like it says steel on the silver box label.

It is an old picture I took using/uploading instagram then downloaded for this thread from Facebook hence the images got really compressed. Am looking for the old set maybe I'll find it in the evening When am free.. Will post serials of all the remaining sets I have

am 100% sure this would have gone un noticed too!! i was going on opening the packs and installing steel strings but some how i convinced myself that i had ordered steels i really didnt ever look at the "nickel" on box because it is easy to miss maybe. i keep one set each in both my gig bags as back up sets
maybe i have another string set which is with a friend ill get that back if it is still unused.
