I love the sort of retro-futuristic look, kind of hip-hop meets Jetsons meets Logan's Run.

that challenger is cool ! ive had a few of those 6v6 amps. fun stuff. but hey, those preamps have some funny inputs! on the left is a blue multipin connector, on the right a pl-259 ham radio antenna connector, and the only 1/4 inch input says 'external calibration". is that from nasa? johnny a. staind

These are laboratory equipment intended for amplifying, filtering and stabilating biosignals. Grass stuff is designed very conservatively but made to last a lifetime. I, for example, have been using those things for recording human electroencephalogram (EEG) and body movement signals in the early 80's. Never used them on a gig, though ;-)

Yeah the auction even describes their "true" purpose, but since they are actually audio preamps (AC = audio) I figure all it would take to make them usable on bass is matching the input connector, input level, and output connector.

Yes it will have "Prestia speed and Boosty bottom" inherent in the design. The special connectors shield out any "Jack Bruce or Claypool" signals thus allowing pure sound. Our other cables are designed to successfully channel, "Chris Squire or Trujillo" tone. Look for the color coded packaging, today!
