Surprise NBD: Didn't expect this Jaguar Bass

A few months back I was working on a song on acoustic. I had my melody, but I hadn't finished my words. T-Mobile was running their Magenta Magic campaign on Twitter, so I wrote some words about T-Mobile and tagged them on it as a joke -- nothing particularly notable. In any case, about two weeks ago, T-Mobile asked for my mailing address as they wanted to thank me. I figured it would be a t-shirt or something, but lo and behold, a big old box arrived yesterday. I'm away at the moment, but as I wasn't expecting anything in terms of giant packages, I had my brother open it for me.

From what I can see, it looks like a Player Series Jaguar Bass with a Rosewood board. I even dig the color, and it fits perfectly alongside my Precision, Jazz, and Mustang. You can't quite see it in the photo, but there's a T-Mobille "T" there on the bottom corner.

It came in a sealed up Fender box and was in a Fender gig bag, so I believe it came from the factory, unless they did just re-use the packaging. From what I can tell from here, it looks like it is a custom paint job with the T under the clear-coat...T-Mobile's magenta and that. I'll take a closer look when I get back next Saturday.

By all accounts, these player series Jaguars are nice basses, so I'm excited to check it out.
