Hey all, got a nasty issue with my SVT 2 Pro
Hadnt turned the amp on in several weeks so decided to fire it up yesterday. I turn it on and let it warm up for a while and then when I come out of standby I hear a fainter "kick" sound than usual, followed by a high-pitch squeal.
Playing results in a distorted squealing/garbled noise.
When the Graphic EQ is NOT turned on, the Active/Peak light flashes red when notes are played.
Preamp tubes are not microphonic however I noticed that V1 seemed slightly dull so I swapped it out for a spare I had and that didnt solve the problem. I started swapping the others out and the problem persists. The only one I didnt swap out was the AU7 (because I didnt have a spare).
If the gain/input signal is low enough the amp sounds relatively normal.
Bias lights are both green and all the power tubes appear healthy from the outside.
Any and all suggestions/clues welcome.
