SVT 4

I use an SVT 4 and classic 6x10. I cannot get this rig to cut thru the mix on stage. I mono bridge the cab, mono in the back of the head, use the EG, but it still stinks. Any suggestions? Thanks

Make certain you are using the correct cable (It's a different configuration from one that you would normally hook the cab up with if using one of the separate power amps). The correct one should have come with the amp.

If you are using the correct cable and still have problems. Check both power amps to make certain that they are both working. 1200 watts continuous out ought to blow you off the stage. Also...even if you are using an active bass, do not use the -15db pad switch.

Oh they don't all suck... I used to love my vintage B-15n. But I prefer solid state amps. They are a lot quicker. I dislike the 70's style EQ on the Ampegs.. that ultra lo and hi crap. Just messes the tone of the bass up. They just color the sound too much.
