Make certain you are using the correct cable (It's a different configuration from one that you would normally hook the cab up with if using one of the separate power amps). The correct one should have come with the amp.
If you are using the correct cable and still have problems. Check both power amps to make certain that they are both working. 1200 watts continuous out ought to blow you off the stage. Also...even if you are using an active bass, do not use the -15db pad switch.

Also check your EQ, stay away from the smiley curve (full bass, no mid, full treble).
Remember that what cuts trough in a band setting is thousand miles form a good sound in your bedroom (at least in my case...)

Don't press the Ultra Low button, optionally use the EQ to set the volume slider a few dashes up.
Together with the suggestions above this should blow away (almost) anything!

Try putting your EQ flat. if that doesn't work Then put your mid selecter on 4 adn turn the mid knob up a little.

Ampegs sound like blurry crap. Loud noise. For the life of me I can't understand why they are so popular. You sure can't hear your bass.

I dont agree with the guy that said all ampegs suck, however i was extremely unimpressed with the svt 4 , but i only played it at 1 show and didnt get to mess with the eq or anything, but based on that i woulnd not have bought the amp, however i do know some freinds who swear by it and have had good results
Oh they don't all suck... I used to love my vintage B-15n. But I prefer solid state amps. They are a lot quicker. I dislike the 70's style EQ on the Ampegs.. that ultra lo and hi crap. Just messes the tone of the bass up. They just color the sound too much.
