SVT 6 PRO question, HELP!

what does that mean? im sorry i know its a noob question.
He means that two 810's will make a 2 ohm load, which the 6 Pro won't handle. But I think you can rewire them to make an 8 ohm load, but it cuts down greatly on the power that will go to them.

HOWEVER...there is a little device you can get that will allow you to plug in impedance loads that your head won't handle. I forget what it's called, though...the Cab Buddy? Someone help me out here!

You need more than 1 8X10? My back is beginning to hurt just thinking of that.

Here is what you do:
Buy 3 1/4" male plugs
Buy about 10 feet of AWG 16 wire.

Attach the positive wire to the center pin of a 1/4" plug and a negative wire to the sleeve of that same plug that is long enough to reach to the next cab.

That negative from your next plug will go to positive on the next cab. The negative from that cab will go to the negative lug of the plug that is plugged into your amp.

This will connect your cabs in series. If one cab is unplugged nothing will work. However- this will reduce the power from your amp by half.

you should have something that looks like a giant circle of wire when you have finished because that is what it is. Power comes out of one cab, goes into another, comes out and goes back into the amp.

You already have just enough power to light up a single 810 cab well. By decreasing the available output power of your amp even further by its inability to push full power at 8OHMS you would limit its ability to crank. I wouldnt recommend doing this just for "looks". BOB

You'd have to wire them in series as said but it's a wash. The volume increase you'd see by doubling the number of speakers will be pretty much negated by your power getting cut in almost half by the 8ohm load. If you want to do it just for looks, just set the 2nd cab up there and don't plug it in. Otherwise you need a power amp.

Yeah pick up a QSC power amp with 4 ohm output of 1000Watts for X dollars and run a wire off the preamp output and fire up your second cab. Done. You dont need to change the head, already has good preamp and plenty o power. Just needs more power and more resistance ability. BOB
