SVT PRO 7 Setup help...

Ok, so I have an Ampeg SVT-7 Pro that has been giving me fits. I run this to a Ampeg SVT-610HLF cabinet... I am using my Fender American Deluxe 5... and it's been clipping something freaky... Actually cut out completely during a gig last week totally, and I had to swap to my PF-500 which I had with me as a backup.

My question is, am I setting this thing up incorrectly / missing something simple...

Anyone with experience with setting this sort of a rig up, please chime in... I run it clean, using only a volume pedal, line 6 wireless, and a tuner. Nothing in the FX loop at all.

Help a brother out so this doesn't become another SVT-7 paperweight.

Cabinet reads:
Ampeg SVT 610 HLF bass cabinet - 6x 10" speaker with horn, 600watts into 4ohms

SVT7 Pro reads:
1000 watts @ 4 ohms • 600 watts @ 8 ohms

Contact Ampeg. Might cost a little to fix if it's not under warranty, but it beats making it a paperweight. Definitely shouldn't be cutting out with those settings. And turn off that -15db switch. Useless ;)

I'm having this exact same problem, I started a thread about it a few days ago. And I'm using an American Jazz Deluxe 5 with a Line 6 G50 wireless and a tuner....only difference I see is I have an 810 cab. I have the volume up around 2 o'clock but the gain is about 10 or 11' o'clock, no pad and it's loud. I'm sending mine in to be repaired...seriously thinking about selling it after it gets back to me and getting something different.

I really like the tone and power of this amp but I can't be having the thing shut down on me during a gig. Instead of focusing on playing and enjoying the stage time, I'm stressing and listening to the amp...looking at the lights... yeah, not fun!

I too am having the same problem with the amp its so frustrating the sound in my opinion is amazing but it is unreliable I already had it repaired once for 350.00 and I am looking to get the svt4 and pray that it does not have the issues that the svt7 has
