5 string players get more chicks. It's science.
I’ve been testing that for the better part of 15 years and science says that’s a false hypothesis.

Welcome to the five string club! Great choice of bass, too. I have a pair of Stingray 5HH’s, including a Stingray Special, and absolutely love them. They share the #1 spot in my small collection.
Won’t be long before you want another.![]()
Yeah you can play anything on a five. Better than you can on a four. Not sure why anyone would limit themselves to a four.
Same experience, I asked myself why was I so slow to adapt. So I bought my first 5 string maybe a week ago. EBMM Stingray 5 HH and I am in love with this bass and really loving the B string. I found the transition actually very easy.
It makes me now want to only own 5 string basses. Maybe I am crazy but I feel like I missed out all these years. Anyone else have this type of experience?

You do have different tonal options with the H that you can’t get on the HH (and vice versaI’m thinking this may be where I end up. 2 stingray special 5’s. I love my HH… it’s my go to/main player for years. should the other be an H?
