Swolen Pickle Suggested Settings

Another year, another update. Still loving the Pickle, and I think it's officially my #1 fuzz now, after recently dethroning the Pharaoh Supreme. I've managed to get it grittier in the lows, and more articulate, but it's still a full range beast. Here are my settings:

Clip - Depends on amp headroom - Big Amp (700RB-II) = 9:00 Small Amp (400RB-IV) = 10:30
Voice - Max
Scoop - Max
Crunch - 8:30ish
Filter - Noon
Gain - 8:00-8:30
Loudness - As needed - about 9:00 right now.

Edit - Played some more. I think I like the clip at 10:30 for my "big" amp and at noon for my "small" amp. Still plenty of grit all over the spectrum, but also more natural lows and not quite as high pitched or abrasive. Great all around fuzz!

Also - anybody know how (or even IF) a thread's title can be changed? I realized that this one spells "Swollen Pickle" incorrectly as "Swolen Pickle", which may make it hard to find for anybody searching.

Allow me to introduce myself, for I may be the Pickle's biggest advocate (search and see). ;)
The Pickle's "stock setting" is way too muddy, so you have to crack her open and change the trim knobs to open the magic. I myself keep "voice" set to about 12:30-1:00 and "scoop" at about 7:00.

The rest ( for me, at least) are as follows:
Scoop: 9:00
Crunch: 8:00
Filter: 1:30
Sustain: 1:00
Loudness: to taste

It's a fantastic pedal on bass, but you're gonna have to change the internal knobs. Another bass friendly start-up is to set the internal knobs at 3:00 (voice) and 9:00 (scoop). Experiment with the internals before giving up...there's a plethora of tones in this pedal. :D

I built a pedalpcb "gerkin fuzz" today which is a clone of this awesome pedal, and the setting from page one of this old thread sound amazing on it, thank you all for sharing what you learned. The internal trim knobs are such a key to good tone, I really wish the voice was on the outside of the case, I may have to mod mine once I learn more about pedal building to put it there.

Putting those knobs on the outside would be one of the few ways that this pedal could be improved. It's an absolutely amazing fuzz.

i have both the way huge model as well as a clone that i built years ago and on the clone i made it with external pots for the internal trimmers and, IMO both versions sound great.

^ the dirty donny is only missing the voice knob which sets the intensity of the scoop control (fully clockwise sets a very deep scoop control, fully counter-clockwise is a shallow scoop).
I wonder if that's version dependent? My ears tell me it's the opposite on my MKIIs version. Full clockwise really thickens everything up, but the opposite is much thinner and "bees in a can" sounding. But I could also be horribly mistaken.

Update: At about the 6 minute mark, this video states that "all the way to the right" is "less scoop". Also, if anyone's interested, I found this to be the absolute best video to explain how the Swollen Pickle actually works. He's using a standard Swollen Pickle, so I'm thinking that full clockwise is a shallow/less scoop setting.
