Swollen Pickle v Multiwave bass distortion

Never noticed any glitchy moments though and am really happy with it. However, tonight I am ordering a swollen pickle (found a deal I can resist) but that is to compare it to my battering ram.

I generally like to mix different fuzz/distortion/overdrive tones in parallel and the combination of fuzz+MWBDP does it for me.

MWBDP does sound more digital in a good way.
Swollen Pickle is just good fuzz fun.

I can not say I am a fuzz connoisseur, so can not really give a reliable comparison. It keeps the low end though, but I think that is partly due to the overdrive running parallel to the fuzz.

Didn't get a chance to give my Swollen Pickle a run through yet, so have not compared the two, but when I do I will post some results.

I own the swollen pickle. black russian big muff, and w&c tall font russian. The black russian muff sounds good but too trebally for me. The tall font is in second place and is my fuzz pedal for home practice and stuff. The pickle wins by far. It holds low end better then any other fuzz I have tried. Sounds dirty and fuzz and sounds better on bass in my opinion.

So I can't really say anything that hasn't already been said but I own the swollen pickle and I gotta say it is a fenomenal pedal. Face melting quality sustain mixed with some super dirty low end fuzz. but whats great about the pickle is the options you can get high gain fuzz as well as bassy thumpy fuzz the pickle sounds great mixed with other pedals too better than any other distortion Ive played on. But... I also own a Big John Hairy Balls and while it is lacking in versatility if you want crazy radical fuzz that pedal is worth checking out. I've also got the mwbd coming to me in the mail so I can't wait to see how it stacks up.

these last 2 posts have made me re-think taking the pickle off my board.. I have to say I've been trying it at really low sustain, with the scoop at 9 and crunch at 1, tone knob quite high and volume to taste. (VT running BEFORE it) and it sounds great for a low gain fuzz. I still want to try other fuzzes though, the pickle's "boom" can be hard to tame in some settings. In saying that, I will NEVER sell it.

I own the pickle and love it. amazing fuzz pedal. I also have the black russian big muff, green russian muff, a green russian clone from ggg, and a newer nyc big muff. the pickle is my go to fuzz pedal because I have tried all of them out in a band setting and the band loves the pickle... although my guitarist always wants to steal my green russian.

just got the mwbd in the mail and I gotta say it would not be a good standard fuzz/distortion pedal. Of all the settings there is only one or two that have any balls. that being said I didn't buy it for the balls I bought it for the synthy tones and I'm thoroughly satisified. pair that thing up with the saurce audio bass envelope filter pro and you're in business. very unique and funky combination that will give your tone an interstellar sound.
