My first "pro gear" purchase was a SM-400. I was dirt poor at the time and spent about $900 on it in 1996. It was stolen out of the back of my truck within a month. The other stolen gear showed up at a music "pawn" shop and was recovered by the police (thank God I originally filed a report). The SM-400, sadly, was not recovered, even though the punk a$$ idiot who stole it signed his name when he traded in the gear for cash at the shop.

I bought my SWR Working Pro 2x10c just over a month ago. It's my first amp and I love it. I'd like to join the club!

I have since switched my main speakers, but when I replaced my Big Ben (I use a Schroeder Mini12) I have it on top of my other cabinet. It does not have a horn, so I get a ton of bottom end a little higher up and I really like it that way.

Interesting, I have a mini 12 w/o horn also, (with a 1210R) and have had a hard time getting a consistent tone that I like out of that rig. I had been using my iAMP 800 with that setup, and tonight I'll be using the 750x just to see the difference. If I can't get something I like, I'll have to trade the iAMP for... who knows what.

I still have one of those. It's not my main amp anymore, but I still kinda like it.

It was very reliable for a lot of years, but then suddenly one night at a bar gig, it started making horrible, loud crackling noises. Once I got home, I took the lid off, and found that the leads of some power resistors in the power supply section were not soldered together, but just twisted together. I soldered them, and haven't had a problem since. Slight quality control issue - ha ha! But it took over 10 years before for symptoms to show up.

i'll post a pic a little later on, but i have a old SM-900, a workingman's 300, and two goliath III's. i love the SWR stuff, always have. the first 'real' rig i ever got to play through years ago was an SM-400 paired with a henry the 8x8, and i was hooked from then on. this stuff is just perfect for what i need it to do.
