SWR SOB speaker replacement help please

So I have an SWR SOB and the speaker is fried, I found on craigslist a Peavey 1505 KADT 8 ohm 15" speaker. It's a great price and they are brand new, would this be a good replacement? looks like the specs match, not spot on but are pretty close. any help would be great!

The kadt is a midbass pa driver with almost no xmax, 1.something. Useless for bass.

that sucks! So no LOW end? This will be the first time in replacing a speaker...will it bottom out if I boost bass, also I'm more of a midrange player anyway...is this ideal?

Yes, a bass will fart it out with very little power. Have you looked into getting your blown speaker re-coned? It's cheaper than buying a new one and you'll essentially end up with a brand new speaker that was designed for that cab.

I had this happen to me years ago, and I replaced w/ a carvin 15. The basic model. The cab was much lighter, and imho,sounded better.
