SWR Workingman's 300 head...anyone use(d) it??

Ok so i just found a SWR Workingman's 300 Head. And i'm really looking at getting it to start "building" my first real rig. Ok so does anyone use or have used it?? I know it's rated at 300watts which is enough...for now. but just wondering how it holds up sounds....etc.etc.etc..

I mean all the guy is asking is $75 and it works/nothing is broke so i think it sounds good but just wanting some info before hand.

you know basically anything you would like to know about an amp before you got it.

P.S.sound clips would be nice to but i'm not expecting any.

There has to be SWR users out there? Even so a 300 watt head that is working for $75 is a good find and you like the sound (that is the most important part)!

Buy it.

If it's in good condition, it's worth 3 times that price.

You're getting a made in USA, SWR Engineering original. It's a solid amp, with good sound, and lots of useful features (headphone jack, adj. limiter, effects blend).

Pair that head with a couple of 8 ohm cabs, and you'll have enough volume for most gigs. And if you do need more power down the road, you'll have a great backup head that will never let you down.

thanks guys. appreciate the input my search on the subject turned up some threads about workingman's stuff that noone ever replied to. I'm glad i got some input back.

Checks the specs. That amp is rated at 160/270/350 watts at 8/4/2.67 ohms, respectively. I owned the smaller version, the WM160 (the 300 wasn't available at the time) for 10 years without issue. $75 is a good deal.
