congrats on getting the headstock comment in, lol...

As long as people are looking, I want to tell them to also look for the threads by "Chunger' (IIRC)...he provided a WEALTH of information on setting up and modding SX's...with tons of step-by step pics...lots of experiments with the results...really worth reading for anyone trying to get the most out of any bass, IMO.

I gotta say I had an Ursa and the headstock does not look as bad in real life as it does in the photos. I guess you just get used to it. I was never a big fan of the Ursa head shape, but it wasn't so bad. It actually fits the bass pretty well.

The Ursa headstock looks ok enough to me without the (string breaking) string tree that comes with it (roller string tree works better imho).

I'm fine with the Ursa headstock, and I have had both. I think Rondo's pics on the website distorts how it looks. The pics usually look stretched to me. but I don't think it looks bad in real life. Of course no one really ever believes that until they buy one. BTW the build quality of my Ursa is way above the quality of my "lakland" headstock SX's...and they weren't bad. I still haven't modded the Ursa.
