SX Jazz Bass Potentiometer Retaining Nuts Needed!

I am puting another one of my 5 string builds together and have run into a dilema. I have the pre wired volume and tone pots from an SX Jazz that I want to use, but do not have the smaller than normal retaining nuts. Have tried to no avail to find them at the local Radio Shack, and guitar shops. Anybody have three I can buy? I am ready to go with this cool build with parts I bought here an on ebay. All I need is three nuts!

Go to a hardware store that sells nuts.

This is not a guitar-related item by any stretch of the imagination, and thus, you're unlikely to find it at guitar stores. RadioShacks do not sell much more than cell phones and toys these days, so you won't find such a thing there, either.

find a music store with a repair guy; he'll have drawers full of them, accumulated from jobs over the years (i certainly do).

i'd be stunned if you found them at a big-box hardware store. (unless they were 1/4" thick )

Pot nuts are not the same as hardware store nuts. But they are available if you dig around electronic suppliers that sell pots. But by FAR the easiest way to find a couple is the repair-guy junk drawer.

And while you are at it try to grab a flat washer and lock washer for each pot too.

trouble is, there's a bunch of different versions of these low-budget pots, and no real way of knowing what fits.

you're gonna need to bring the bass to a repair guy so he can rifle through his collection to find ones that work.
