Sx Squier neck swap

First off, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I would like to know if a squier affinity p bass neck would fit in an sx jazz bass body and vice versa? also would a squier vintage mod jazz neck fit in the sx?

I do not think so.

There are SX's that don't fit in other SX's neck pockets, and same with Squier.

In my experience, the SX neck pocket is 1/8" deeper than the Squier's. The Squier neck will sit 1/8" lower than normal in the SX body and the SX neck will sit 1/8" higher in the Squier body. Also, I don't think the screw holes match.

It can fit. You might have to remove a little bit of wood and or shim the neck.

FWIW, I put an SX J-Bass parts neck on a Squier P-Bass Special with no alterations to either one other than installing a nut and drilling the mounting holes - it was a huge upgrade over the Squier neck.

I'm currently gigging a Squier Affinity Jazz body with an SX Jazz neck..it went together no hitch. works for me.

actully im more interested in putting the squier p neck in the sx, it was a fretless and thier not for me but i like the sx body, would that fit?
