SX Ursa 6 Neck Alternative?

It seems many of you here are TB are already familiar with the SX Ursa 6's chunky neck. So my question is:
Is there a faster, slimmer, neck available (that wouldn't require extensive modification) from any custom bass parts manufacturer/luthiers?

Belt sander? :)

I briefly considered looking for a graphite neck for my SX 6 but eventually decided the project was too complex. You might take the neck to a luthier and they should be able to either trim it down ( I presume there is a strength issue with that) or build you what you want copying the scale and neck joint.

Personally I love those chunky SX necks, but thinking about what you want, I'm wondering if I wanted a thinner neck if it would work to get some graphite reenforcement bars (StewMac) trim the neck down and rout a couple of grooves for the bars to keep the neck from being too flexible.
