Muahahahaha.
To ease any suspicion...I'm having a good friend of mine refinish my SX 6er. It's gonna look magnificent when it's done. I'll have some other sweet little additions on her when all is said and done. But moneywise, that will take a little longer. There will be more pics.

Random progress collage.
I can ask my buddy for pointers. He happens to be a woodworker AND a guitarist/bassist. So he was the obvious choice. He's done a few other instruments too. He does good work.
Cool, I'd appreciate it! I've found plenty of info on how to paint them. Differing things on how to strip them. Seems to be different depending on what kind of paint it is. So, just curious how he did it.
Thanks again.
I actually thought about that. Converting an SX 6er into a 6er P/J! But my experience with my Squier P/J 5er is that there is more to it than just adding a P pickup and pickguard. The P body shape is different but more important the Neck is wider with a different profile. A profile that I REALLY like, I might add! And unlike some who love the Jazz neck and change their P-bass with a jazz neck, I'd rather go the other way. I don't know if you can even buy a 6 string P-bass neck.
Cleaned the stain off the frets. Sealed the back of the body.
