The patch sysx data file build is at 2648 bytes in size, so that is about over 2200 adjustable parameters inside the box for the 3 synths, effects and pedal controls.
SysEx data is relatively big on any synth. My concern (aside from Note On/Off) was that it doesn't support outbound Start, Stop, and Continue messages, nor Song Position/Song Select. To be fair though, very very few guitar synths (including my Midibase) have supported those messages, so you'll still be looking at some other outboard gear to control sequencers and such unless you go to the trouble of somehow mapping controllers to the other messages. I'm also probably unfairly comparing the SY's implementation to that of dedicated keyboard controllers, most of which support the aforementioned message types and all of the CC messages across their entire range of allowed values.
The main drawback for me is not supporting basic Note On/Off messages, but t looks like the device was designed to be essentially a high-end stomp box with limited MIDI functionality rather than a full-blown MIDI controller, and there's nothing at all wrong with that.
