Any bass players familiar with the name Soundtrade? From the videos I found on youtube they sound great! I have a chance to get them for relatively cheap, but wanted to get some information first.

Sorry to reply so late after your post, but I just found it via a search on SoundTrade.
You got the name right. I used to work at this company throughout the 90's and can attest to the quality of the instruments. For Fender clones I dont think they can be beat. SoundTrade also makes all of its own electronics. We used to also make rack mount pre-amps, but I think that product has been discontinued.
They originate from the BTL bass shop in Osaka, Japan and now have an updated website.
I would strongly suggest them if you have an opportunity to acquire SoundTrade basses at a good price.
