What is the big difference between the TC Electronic 450 price of 799.00, compared to 999.00...I know the tuner and a couple of other add in's are relevant, but overall, is the sound the same, etc, etc...looking for a light weight amp for gigs in town, and keep the big rig on the truck....thanks for your input..

Nothing, just a better deal. A factory refurb with full warranty, how can you go wrong?

TC Electronic has a minimum advertised price policy. $999 is the minimum for the RH and $799 is the minimum for the Classic.

While I'm sure you can get an RH for $799 somewhere online, you are supposed to have to make direct contect to get that price (email or phone). Dealers aren't allowed by the policy to put those lower prices on their websites.

There are several dealers selling factory refurbished RH450's with full warranty for $799(see eBay).

Here's one for $739:

Why buy the Classic when you get the RH for that price? Maybe even less since it has a "Make Offer". Super Deal!!

Yep, he wants to know how much more or less of an amp he's getting for the the $200 difference. Just wanted to point out that the whole package is available for the $799(or less).

Nothing wrong with that. By the same token, the Classic 450 can be had for less than its $799 MAP, so in my opinion it would behoove the op to learn what the difference between the two amps is. Your first post didn't seem to acknowledge that the reference was to the two different models.

The Classic to me is the way to go for folks who just want to plug and play. It's a minimalist design with a simple face to read and tweak. It has the same wonderful compressor and tubetone effects as the RH450.
